We face many situations that literally put what we may call dignity to the test. The average person does not like being in a situation where they have to ask for help. So we do our best to avoid all that. Unless we have no choice and nothing else left. Whatever the case; we must be mindful that God's plan is for our best interest and he didn't bring us this far to leave us.
At the same time many have come to a place in which they feel they've succeeded and nothing more is needed. The satisfaction of their action has caused pride to arise, inside the heart and inside the mind. A personality trait takes hold of the soul until you're consumed and it finally takes control.
This seed is produced by many means. From a grand perspective of oneself, which lifts up above the rest to a high expectation of honor and respect. Whatever the cause this character trait leads to a grand stand that will surely fall.
A spirit of humility has expectations in Christ and are more concerned with eternal life. The meek abide in a higher love and display satisfaction and gratitude by their very actions. There's a demeanor of peace in hopes that God will supply all their needs. This is the place I choose to be.
I've felt both sides of the coin and I'd rather be able to hear the voice of God and the trumpets horn. I'd rather be in Christ In whom I know I can lean on! I don't consider myself any better than the rest. I Know in Christ, there's always something left. I know what my Father has for me is the very best and I Choose to be a part of his love, his grace and mercy in which I can not loose.
It's no inconvenience to me; if I can supply a need! I have no desire to be as the scribes and Pharisees! I choose to follow the spirit of Christ and have him abide in me. I choose to be led by his spirit and whatever I get; I get. Because I don't want it; if God ain't in it!
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he. Proverbs 16: 18-20
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:2-3
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Psalm 37:11
Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. Luke 10: 36-37
